About The Position

The Beef Shoppe/Seafood Clerk provides excellent guest service through meat and seafood department activities. The role uses selling skills and merchandising programs to enhance guest interaction and achieve maximum sales. Pay starts at $16 per hour.

Requirements

Good interpersonal skills, effective selling skills, and an outgoing personality.
Ability to work well with others and to sell and interact with guests.
Ability to lift 50 pounds occasionally and 25 pounds constantly.
Ability to bend, kneel, and stand for extended periods.
Ability to work in a cold environment.
Must be at least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

Greet and interact politely and courteously with guests approaching the department, creating a selling environment using selling skills.
Prepare knife-ready products for sale by cutting, slicing, trimming, wrapping, weighing, and pricing them according to Lowes Foods standards.
Assist with product receiving, inventory, and storage.
Price, stock, and rotate frozen items, prepared meats, and fresh meat and seafood in sales areas.
Maintain safety and sanitation standards in areas that come in contact with meat and seafood, including prep areas, coolers, freezers, and the sales floor.
Maintain product quality and freshness and ensure products offered for sale are in date.
Communicate shrink issues to management.
Communicate guest requests and concerns to management.
Make PA announcements for sale and promotional items in the meat and seafood department.
Perform other duties as assigned by management.
