National Beef is seeking college students interested in a career in beef production to join its summer 2027 internship program. The 10–12-week paid internship provides hands-on exposure to process management, operational planning for customer fulfillment, critical thinking, and ground beef formulation in a state-of-the-art facility. Interns learn company culture and department processing practices from start to finish, working at an on-site, safety-sensitive production facility in Liberal or Dodge City, Kansas, or Tama, Iowa. A housing allowance is included where required. Interns spend time on the production floor in harvest and fabrication, contribute to projects addressing real business needs, and collaborate with the Operations Team. The program offers exposure to National Beef’s production operations and opportunities to network with facility senior leadership. Interns prepare detailed reports for senior management and department heads summarizing their insights and experiences, and deliver a presentation to the same leadership group at the end of the program.
