About The Position

Sentara Halifax Regional Medical Center is hiring a Bedflow Nursing Coordinator - Full Time, Rotating Shifts. This role assesses, plans, develops, implements, and evaluates plans of care for specific patient populations. The coordinator collaborates with a multidisciplinary team to facilitate appropriate and timely patient placement and/or transfer. They also coordinate and communicate the capacity management plan to nursing units, the leadership team, and physicians. In the absence of the department leader, the Bedflow Nursing Coordinator acts as a clinical resource to the hospital staff and possesses the clinical knowledge and skills to meet standards of care as required by patient populations. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are a must. ACLS is required within 1 year of hire.

Requirements

• Bachelors Level Degree + 2 years relevant experience may be accepted in lieu of degree
• ACLS required within one year of hire date
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Responsibilities

• Assesses, plans, develops, implements, and evaluates plans of care for specific patient populations.
• Coordinates and collaborates with a multidisciplinary team to facilitate appropriate and timely patient placement and/or transfer.
• Coordinates and communicates capacity management plan to nursing units, leadership team, and physicians.
• Acts as a clinical resource to the hospital staff in the absence of the department leader.
