About The Position

As a member of Nordstrom’s Beauty Department and La Mer sales team, you will create personalized beauty experiences, help customers find products that meet their needs, and contribute to sales of luxury beauty brands. You will build customer relationships in store and digitally, keep current on beauty trends and product knowledge, and help create a welcoming, inclusive environment. The role is based at Del Amo Fashion Center.

Requirements

• Passion for customer service and beauty, including trends, makeup application, and skincare.

• Empathy and respect for all customers, providing a supportive environment during makeup and skincare application.
• Strong multitasking, organization, and follow-through skills.
• Drive to achieve sales goals and interest in using networking and technology.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule based on business needs, including evenings and weekends.
• Ability to remain in continuous movement for 6–8 hours per shift, including frequent bending, twisting, squatting, flexing, and reaching.
• Frequent use of hands for grasping, fine manipulation, pushing, and pulling.
• Ability to handle bulky or awkwardly shaped merchandise, including reaching and lifting items above the head.
• Ability to regularly lift up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift up to 25 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Conduct makeup applications and skincare analyses, and recommend products based on customers’ beauty goals.
• Collaborate with team members to create a welcoming and inclusive environment for customers.
• Set and achieve sales goals through in-store and digital selling, using tools such as text and social media.
• Book appointments and drive sales for in-store beauty events and services.
• Maintain department organization and cleanliness so it is customer-ready.
• Keep up with beauty trends, products, and industry knowledge through trainings provided by Nordstrom and brand partners.
• Manage sales, refunds, and exchanges, and build customer loyalty by opening new Nordstrom Rewards accounts.
