About The Position

The Beauty Counter Manager works in Nordstrom’s Beauty Department and combines selling with teaching to maximize sales for the assigned beauty brand. The role creates personalized beauty experiences, builds customer relationships in-store and digitally, and contributes to a welcoming and inclusive team environment. The position includes beauty consultations and applications, sales and customer-account activities, vendor-event coordination, and maintaining a customer-ready department.

Responsibilities

Conduct makeup applications and skincare analyses, and recommend products based on customers’ beauty goals.
Collaborate with team members to create a welcoming and inclusive environment for customers.
Set and achieve personal and counter sales goals using in-store and digital selling tools, including text and social media.
Manage the scheduling and execution of vendor events and promotions.
Build and maintain vendor relationships to maximize business results.
Maintain department organization and cleanliness so it is customer-ready.
Keep current on beauty trends, products, and industry knowledge through trainings provided by Nordstrom and luxury brand partners.
Manage sales, refunds, and exchanges, and build customer loyalty by opening new Nordstrom Rewards program accounts.
