About The Position

The Sales Associate/Beauty Advisor focuses on creating a memorable shopping experience for customers and advising them on hair color, cosmetics, skin care, and nail products. Sally Beauty provides product education and training; the employee brings passion and personality to helping customers through their beauty experience. The role offers a range of working schedules and hours to suit different needs, subject to the business’s scheduling needs.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Must be available to meet the scheduling needs of the business.
• Able to communicate clearly and concisely with customers, co-workers, and management.
• Able to read and explain product labels.
• Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs, occasionally while on a ladder, with or without accommodation.
• The position involves long periods of standing and walking, recurring bending, crouching, stooping, stretching, and reaching, and recurring lifting of moderately heavy items such as shipment or record boxes.
• May work around moving parts, carts, or machines, and may occasionally be exposed to irritant chemicals, fumes, or odors.

Nice To Haves

• 1+ years of retail sales or customer service experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Build customer relationships and inspire loyalty.
• Recommend additional and complementary products.
• Inform customers about current promotions and events.
• Set up advertising displays and arrange merchandise to highlight sales and promotional events.
• Inform customers about the Loyalty program and enroll them in it.
• Complete transactions accurately and efficiently.
• Maintain a professional store environment and communicate inventory issues.
• Demonstrate Sally Beauty Culture Values.
• Use product knowledge training to support customer service.
• Follow directions and perform other duties as assigned by the Manager.
