About The Position

The Sales Associate/Beauty Advisor focuses on creating a memorable shopping experience for customers and advising them on hair color, cosmetics, skin care, and nails. Sally Beauty provides product knowledge and training, while the advisor brings enthusiasm and personality. The role includes building customer relationships, recommending products, sharing information about promotions and loyalty programs, completing transactions, merchandising, and maintaining a professional store environment. A range of work schedules and hours is available to suit different needs.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Must be available to meet the scheduling needs of the business.
• Able to communicate clearly and concisely with customers, co-workers, and management.
• Able to lift up to 25 lbs, occasionally while on a ladder, with or without accommodation.
• Able to perform physical activities including prolonged standing and walking; recurring bending, crouching, stooping, stretching, reaching, or similar activities; and recurring lifting of moderately heavy items.

Nice To Haves

• One or more years of retail sales or customer service experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Build customer relationships and inspire loyalty.
• Recommend additional and complementary products.
• Inform customers about current promotions and events.
• Set up advertising displays and arrange merchandise to highlight sales and promotional events.
• Inform customers about and enroll them in the Loyalty program.
• Complete transactions accurately and efficiently.
• Maintain a professional store environment and communicate inventory issues.
• Demonstrate Sally Beauty Culture Values.
• Use product knowledge training to support customer service.
• Read and explain product labels.
• Follow directions and perform other duties as assigned by the Manager.
