This position involves analyzing resident’s hair, understanding their preferences, and performing various hair treatments including washing, dyeing, and styling. It also includes nail care and managing appointments. The role requires interaction with residents and coordination with transportation services. Requirements
- A High School Diploma
- A valid cosmetology license with at least six months related experience.
- Previous experience in healthcare or service related setting.
- Must be at least 21 years old
- Knowledge of the physiology and psychology of the older adult.
Responsibilities
- Analyzes resident’s hair and questions resident to determine their hairdressing preference.
- Washes, dyes, tints hair based on residents’ instructions.
- Styles hair by blowing, cutting, trimming and tapering.
- Cleans, shapes and polishes fingernails.
- Makes and confirms hairdressing appointments and coordinates wheelchair transportation for resident through Transportation.
