Beach Attendant SUMMARY The Beach Attendant is responsible for positive experience of guests while maintaining the quality standards and supervision of the outlet staff.

Requirements

  • Due to the cyclical nature of the hospitality industry, employees may be required to work varying schedules to reflect the business needs of the hotel.
  • In addition, attendance at all scheduled training sessions and meetings is required.
  • High school or equivalent education required.
  • Minimum of two years’ experience in public contact or customer service position required.
  • Serve Safe/Food Handlers Card required.
  • Most work tasks are performed outdoors subjected to varied weather conditions.
  • Must be able to stand and exert well-paced mobility for up to 6 hours or more in length.
  • May be required to lift trays of food or food items weighing up to 30 lbs.
  • Must have the ability to bend, squat and lift 40 lbs. on a regular and continuing basis and occasionally lift up to 75 lbs.
  • Must be able to push and pull carts and equipment weighing up to 200 lbs. occasionally.

Nice To Haves

  • Restaurant/hospitality experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Control the flow of work in the room by seating guests in station rotation while maintaining guest lists and following and enforcing all restaurant standards.
  • Greet guests in a professional manner.
  • Inform guests of daily activities and be able to “sell” the resort.
  • Meet all phone etiquette standards.
  • Assist guests with setting up chairs at the pool area; delivering necessary menus and waters upon guest arrival.

  • Maintain cleanliness of restaurant and pool areas by proactively cleaning throughout the day.
