About The Position

Beach Guards ensure the safety and well-being of visitors at the Point Pleasant beaches. The role involves maintaining a safe environment, preventing accidents, and responding promptly to emergencies. Guards work outdoors in varying weather conditions and must remain vigilant throughout their assigned shifts.

Requirements

• Strong swimming skills and physical fitness.
• Ability to stay alert and focused for extended periods.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of lifesaving techniques and first aid.
• Ability to remain calm and act quickly in emergency situations.
• Current Lifeguard (L) certification or equivalent is required.
• Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous experience as a beach or pool lifeguard.

Responsibilities

• Monitor beach and water activities to ensure visitor safety.
• Enforce beach rules and regulations to maintain order and safety.
• Perform rescues and administer first aid or CPR when necessary.
• Communicate effectively with beachgoers and team members.
• Maintain vigilance and readiness throughout assigned shifts.
• Report hazards or incidents to the appropriate authorities.
