About The Position
We are seeking vigilant and responsible Beach Guards to ensure the safety and well-being of visitors at our beautiful Point Pleasant beaches. The ideal candidates will be dedicated to maintaining a safe environment, preventing accidents, and responding promptly to emergencies.
Requirements
- Strong swimming skills and physical fitness.
- Ability to stay alert and focused for extended periods.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of lifesaving techniques and first aid.
- Ability to remain calm and act quickly in emergency situations.
- Valid Lifeguard (L) certification or equivalent.
Nice To Haves
- Previous experience as a beach or pool lifeguard is a plus.
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
Responsibilities
- Monitor beach and water activities to ensure the safety of all visitors.
- Enforce beach rules and regulations to maintain order and safety.
- Perform rescues and administer first aid or CPR when necessary.
- Communicate effectively with beachgoers and team members.
- Maintain vigilance and readiness throughout assigned shifts.
- Report any hazards or incidents to the appropriate authorities.
