Beach Attendant (Seasonal)
About The Position
Pelican Bay Foundation is hiring a seasonal Beach Attendant to assist Foundation members and guests with using its beaches and beach equipment, while maintaining a clean and orderly beach. The work is carried out in accordance with the Foundation’s mission, service standards, goals, and departmental policies and procedures. The role is 4 to 5 days per week and ends on May 1, 2026. It reports to the Beach Manager. Pelican Bay Foundation manages common areas and amenities in its luxury community in Naples, Florida, including two beach facilities, beachfront restaurants, tennis facilities, boardwalks, a Fitness Center and Wellness Studio, a Community Center, and approximately 90 acres of land.
Requirements
- Successful experience in a position involving service to members or the public.
- Ability to lift and transport up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to work outdoors for extended periods.
- Any combination of education, training, and work experience that demonstrates the ability to perform the duties and responsibilities described.
Responsibilities
- Oversee use of the beaches and beach activities.
- Greet and assist members and their guests in identifying desired beach equipment, including setting up and taking down equipment.
- Clean beach equipment to ensure it is free of sand before distribution.
- Collect beach equipment at the end of the day, remove excess sand, and store it in designated areas overnight.
- Clean beaches to ensure they are free of trash, debris, and rocks.
