BDR Manager, NYC

BlockaidNew York, NY
$160,000 - $180,000Hybrid

About The Position

Blockaid is the security layer for the onchain world, protecting millions of users and major crypto entities from scams and hacks by screening billions of transactions. As the adoption of onchain finance grows, so does the demand for Blockaid's services, leading to the global scaling of their go-to-market team. This role is for an experienced BDR Manager to lead and expand a global team of business development representatives across the Americas, EMEA, and APAC. Reporting to the VP of Marketing, the manager will oversee the entire outbound process, including people, strategy, and pipeline generation. The BDRs will work closely with the Account Executive (AE) team, feeding qualified opportunities into their pipeline. This is a hands-on leadership position, primarily based in the Manhattan office (4 days/week), ideal for someone with prior BDR team management experience, a structured and data-driven approach, and a passion for developing early-career representatives into top performers.

Requirements

  • 4-5+ years of experience managing BDR/SDR teams selling B2B SaaS, including experience leading a distributed or multi-region team.
  • A proven track record of building teams that exceed pipeline targets.
  • Credible knowledge of crypto/web3 (professional or serious personal engagement) sufficient to communicate fluently with a crypto-native, technical audience.
  • Experience managing or coaching BDRs who sell to technical stakeholders (security, infrastructure, engineering) and understand how to position outbound for this audience.
  • A structured, quantitative operational approach with clear thinking, repeatable processes, and comfort setting targets and forecasting based on data.
  • A genuine coaching instinct with demonstrable results, such as hiring, ramping, and promoting representatives.
  • Understanding of how BDR output contributes to AE pipeline and familiarity with building a bench of BDRs for future roles.
  • Fluency with outbound positioning and modern sales tooling (CRM, sequencing/engagement platforms, prospecting data).
  • Excellent communication skills and the operational rigor to manage a global team based on metrics while maintaining a human-centric approach.
  • Must be based in the NYC area and able to work a hybrid schedule in the office.

  • Own the team's pipeline contribution by setting targets, forecasting meetings and qualified opportunities, and holding the team accountable across regions with clear metrics.
  • Ensure BDRs and the AE team are closely aligned on hand-off quality and qualification criteria, acting as the connective tissue between outbound efforts and closing deals.
  • Hire and scale the BDR function globally by setting a high interview bar, rapidly onboarding new representatives, and establishing coverage in new regions.
  • Develop a pipeline of BDRs ready for advancement into AE or other roles, and continuously refine the outbound playbook, including positioning, messaging, sequencing, and target-account strategy.
