The Technology Leadership Development Program (TLDP) at BD is a multi-year rotational program designed for outstanding Ph.D. graduates in STEM fields who aspire to become future leaders in R&D. Participants complete three customized assignments across BD’s businesses and locations, focusing on technical depth, leadership development, and cross-functional experience. The program offers mentorship from senior leaders, exposure to diverse technologies and product development phases, and opportunities to make a meaningful impact in healthcare innovation. TLDP associates must be willing to relocate and are expected to work primarily on-site to foster collaboration and creativity. We are the makers of possible! Our vision for the Technology Leadership Development Program (TLDP) at BD The Technology Leadership Development Program’s (TLDP) vision is to develop future leaders in BD’s R&D organization by providing TLDP associates with broad and deep technical assignments across BD. The program consists of three progressively more challenging assignments (1.5 - 2 years each) spanning multiple businesses and BD locations. These assignments are tailored to associate interests, and designed to strengthen technical depth and leadership skills. A personalized and dynamic career path is sculpted for each TLDP associate based on your personal skills and interests, with the mentorship of senior R&D leaders. As a member of the TLDP, your rotational assignments will: Be custom-designed and guided with your input, resulting in a fluid, flexible, and dynamic career development experience. Focus on developing technical strength, leadership abilities, cross-functional skills, and business acuity. Provide opportunities outside of your domain expertise and build breadth through exposure to different technological fields, phases of product development, and job functions. Accelerate career growth in technology-based roles through learning the business and maximizing opportunities to exhibit servant leadership and strong technical skills. Span multiple locations and BD businesses within key research and development facilities located in the following cities: Franklin Lakes, NJ (Headquarters); Research Triangle Park and Durham, NC; San Diego, CA; Brea, CA; Louisville, CO; Irvine, CA; Salt Lake City, UT; Vernon Hills, IL; Tempe, AZ; Warwick, RI; and Covington, GA. Example assignments include: Designing and developing product components for drug delivery systems, surgical devices, or advanced patient monitoring solutions. Researching and implementing novel technologies that enable the invention of new medical devices or therapies. Hunting for new opportunities, synthesizing ideas into innovation, and selecting innovations for the greatest impact.
