About The Position

At North Shore Pediatric Therapy in Des Plaines, IL, we are looking for a BCBA in training to join our team. In this role, you will work as a Registered Behavior Technician, while also assisting the Clinical Director with unrestricted supervision activities for a caseload of clients. You must currently be enrolled in a graduate-level ABA course and working towards your BCBA certification. Our success stories are numerous, requiring excellence from every team member. We offer comprehensive training and support, and you will work your way up from the Assistant Clinical Coordinator to a Lead Assistant Clinical Coordinator role. As part of this, you will have the opportunity to get weekly supervision, practice doing intakes, discharges, unrestricted hours, and more. You will also have access to our modules and study group. You'll thrive in our multi-disciplinary environment, working with teams in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), Neuropsychology, Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy, Speech-Language Pathology, and Mental Health. Many of our kiddos need after school, evening and Saturday hours. You'll let us know the days and times you are available and we'll build your caseload!

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in a graduate-level ABA course and working towards BCBA certification.
  • 1 year experience of conducting ABA therapy with clients with Autism.
  • Active RBT certification with the BACB.
  • Background in teaching, assisting, counseling, or coaching.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
  • Basic computer skills and ability to pick up new technology quickly.
  • Ability to enter notes, assessments, and treatment summaries after each session into an electronic medical system.

Responsibilities

  • Work as a Registered Behavior Technician.
  • Assist the Clinical Director with unrestricted supervision activities for a caseload of clients.
  • Maintain a role as a Behavior Therapist for approximately half the hours.
  • Lead Behavior Therapist/Registered Behavior Technician (BT/RBT) training classes for onboarding and ongoing training.
