About The Position

Lighthouse Care Center of Augusta provides comprehensive care for both adolescent and adult populations with psychological issues, as well as substance abuse challenges. They offer Inpatient, Residential Treatment, Partial Day Program, and Intensive Outpatient services. This is a 1099 leadership position for a BC Psychiatrist to supplement income by providing approximately 20 hours or less of administrative duties monthly, with the ability to work extra hours for additional compensation treating patients. The role involves conducting admission evaluations, developing treatment plans, and providing ongoing treatment follow-up for child and adolescent patients. Responsibilities include participating in daily treatment team meetings, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team, completing required patient documentation, attending leadership meetings, and supervising Nurse Practitioners (NPs).

Requirements

M.D./D.O. with Board Certification in General Psychiatry
Georgia medical license and DEA in good standing or eligibility to obtain it.
Minimum of 2 years experience post training.
Willing and experienced treating ages 12 and older.
Experience and comfort in participating in leadership meetings and administrative duties up to 20 hours per month.
Supervision of NPs is required.

Nice To Haves

BC in Child/Adolescent Psychiatry a plus.
Successful completion of an accredited Psychiatry residency and Child/Adolescent fellowship program a plus.
