About The Position
Lighthouse Care Center of Augusta provides comprehensive care for both adolescent and adult populations with psychological issues, as well as substance abuse challenges. They offer Inpatient, Residential Treatment, Partial Day Program, and Intensive Outpatient services. This is a 1099 psychiatrist position with leadership responsibilities, offering flexible scheduling and the opportunity to supplement income by treating patients. The role involves approximately 20 hours or less of administrative duties monthly, with the potential for additional compensation through patient treatment. Weekend/weekday coverage is negotiable.
Requirements
- M.D./D.O. with Board Certification in General Psychiatry
- Georgia medical license and DEA in good standing or eligibility to obtain it.
- Minimum of 2 years experience post training.
- Willing and experienced treating ages 12 and older.
- Experience and comfort in participating in leadership meetings and administrative duties up to 20 hours per month.
- Supervision of NPs is required.
Nice To Haves
- BC in Child/Adolescent Psychiatry a plus.
- Successful completion of an accredited Psychiatry residency and Child/Adolescent fellowship program a plus.
Responsibilities
- Conduct admission evaluations, develop treatment plans, and provide ongoing treatment follow-up for child and adolescent patients.
- Participate in daily treatment team meetings.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality care.
- Complete required patient documentation and notes in accordance with facility guidelines.
