2nd Shift - Battery Sorter

About The Position
Cirba Solutions is a battery recycling materials and management company that extracts critical materials from scrap and used batteries and supplies battery-grade metals back into the supply chain. As a Battery Sorter, you will identify and sort batteries by chemistry or type, tape battery terminals, and pack batteries using bags and boxes. The position involves working primarily on your feet and may require forklift operation at some locations.
Requirements
- Frequently lift 10–40 pounds individually and more than 40 pounds with a team member.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
- Attention to detail.
- Basic math skills.
- Teamwork and communication skills.
- High school diploma or GED.
Responsibilities
- Follow warehouse safety procedures and processes, with health and safety as the number one goal.
- Identify and sort batteries by chemistry.
- Tape the terminals or ends of batteries.
- Sort out debris and non-conforming material.
- Store batteries and non-conforming material in drums.
- Label drums according to regulations and guidelines.
- Weigh and document material.
- Perform general cleaning.
- Comply with environmental, health, and safety regulations.
- Sit or stand for most of the shift.
- Operate a forklift to transfer material where required at some locations.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
