About The Position

Precise Systems is seeking a Battery Research Scientist to advance and support testing and characterization of rechargeable battery chemistries in multiple form factors, including lithium-metal and lithium-ion. This position requires on-site support. The scientist will design and execute experimental plans to assess the performance and degradation of commercial and laboratory-built electrochemical cells under varied conditions. The role also involves collecting and analyzing large data sets, communicating progress toward programmatic objectives with an interdisciplinary team of scientists and engineers, and reporting findings through technical reports, journal publications, and conference presentations. Applicants must have a PhD in a STEM engineering field and 3–5 years of postdoctoral research demonstrating mastery of the relevant subject matter and capabilities. The role requires hands-on battery laboratory expertise, including electrode preparation and electrochemical testing, and requires the ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance. U.S. citizenship is required due to customer-related sensitivities.
