About The Position

Emerald Heights, a premier life plan community in Redmond, Washington, is seeking a Bath Aide (CNA) to join their team. This role is dedicated to providing residents with the best senior living experience, offering a full continuum of care. The Bath Aide assists residents in achieving their best possible quality of life by providing basic individual personal care. This position offers the opportunity to make a significant impact on the care and service provided to seniors and to build lasting relationships.

Requirements

  • Unencumbered Washington Nursing Assistant, Certified license.
  • Obtain AED and HIV/AIDS training within 30 days of hire.
  • Requires CPR, First Aid and Food Handler’s permit.
  • Ability to deal with multiple priorities and demands.
  • Regular, predictable and dependable attendance.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Effective English communications skills both verbal and written.
  • All Emerald Heights employees must pass a criminal background check and other pre-employment requirements.
  • Must be an E-Verify employer.

Responsibilities

  • Checks residents on bath schedule.
  • Coordinates residents' condition and any changes in status with the residents’ NAC and licensed nurse.
  • Coordinates bath schedule with the residents to verify their bath appointment.
  • Complies with residents’ requests to reschedule bath appointments, respecting their preferences.
  • Assists residents to bathing room, and provides resident the bath.
  • Coordinates residents’ return to their room with the residents’ NAC.
  • Notifies residents’ NAC and licensed nurse of any resident skin issues observed during the bath.
  • Weighs and records residents’ weight prior to the bath being provided.
  • Assists NACs with resident care when not actively engaged in providing resident baths.
  • Provides resident care, including answering call lights during primary NACs’ meal and rest breaks.
  • Picks up resident meal trays and transports them to the Food and Beverage dish collection area.
  • Performs NAC duties as needed for direct resident care.
