The Batch Processing Operator is responsible for ensuring the correct amounts of good quality raw materials are used in product preparation, in a timely manner for packaging lines. The starting pay for this role is $24.00/hour.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Working knowledge of operation of different types of process equipment with varying degrees of automation.
  • Ability to comprehend and follow processes control instructions and/or formula recipes and procedures (including completing paperwork).
  • Working knowledge of all sanitary practices as they pertain to GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) and equipment washouts.
  • Ability to coordinate with Production personnel to successfully transfer product to the packaging lines.
  • Ability to prepare raw materials for processing.
  • Ability to assist in cleaning, maintaining and inventory of raw material storage areas.
  • Fork truck driving for retrieval of raw materials (optional; license required).

Responsibilities

  • Ensuring that the correct amounts of good quality raw materials are used in the preparation of products, in a timely manner for packaging lines.
  • Operating different types of process equipment with varying degrees of automation.
  • Comprehending and following process control instructions and/or formula recipes and procedures, including completing paperwork.
  • Ensuring the quality of products by verifying the correct amounts of good quality raw materials are used.
  • Adhering to all sanitary practices as they pertain to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and equipment washouts.
  • Coordinating with Production personnel to successfully transfer product to the packaging lines.
  • Preparing raw materials for processing.
  • Assisting in cleaning, maintaining, and inventorying raw material storage areas.
  • Driving a forklift for retrieval of raw materials (optional; license required).
  • Performing other duties as assigned.
