About The Position

Seeking Hands-On Batch Makers that require Heavy Lifting, & Opportunity for career growth. We will train, and only requirement is that you have prior experience working in a manufacturing and/or trades environment, if this sounds like you, please apply OR forward on to others that may be interested. The Batch Maker Level 1 will batch as directed and assist with the departmental objectives concerning the various batching processes of RM Lucas. The Batch Maker Level 1 ensures batching activities complies with Safety, Quality, Production, and housekeeping specifications. The Batch Maker Level 1 may communicate information to trainees as directed by the Department Lead and/or Management. Expertise in visually inspecting and accepting formulations based on requirements. Successful batching of all formulations on all mixers more than 20 times per. Designated buddy trainer. Competence in troubleshooting and preventing potential batch deviations. Training and assistance in PIT operations as assigned. Expert on multiple mixers and/or product groups.

Requirements

Prior experience working in a manufacturing and/or trades environment.
High school diploma/ GED required.
Read and write English effectively.
Fluent in basic math.
Experience in accurate pouring, weighing, and measuring of ingredients in pounds, grams and fluids.
Ability to think on your feet, formulate completion plans, proactively surmount potential mistakes, and communicate timely and succinctly to management.
General computer skills.
Timely communicator that presents solutions not only problems.
Possess a can-do attitude with focus on achievement not obstacles.
Ability to make decisions in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to prioritize effectively to complete duties within specified time frames.
Professional demeanor that communicates politely and can lead a team with respect and dignity.
Ability to work with other departments to get the schedule completed efficiently.

Nice To Haves

5S and Lean Manufacturing experience desired.

Responsibilities

Become an expert on multiple mixers and/or product groups.
Train new employees as applicable and provide refresher training for current employees as needed.
