The Basic Security Fundamentals (BSF) Instructor III provides instruction for Basic Security Fundamentals (BSF) modules in accordance with CENSECFOR curriculum and training standards. This role involves delivering high-risk and moderate-risk training tasks, including classroom instruction, hands-on practical exercises, performance-based demonstrations, and remediation. The instructor must complete Course Unique Instructor Training (CUIT) requirements for assigned BSF modules and maintain certification throughout employment. Responsibilities include supporting training in non-lethal weapons fundamentals, communication skills, basic security tactics, and related performance-driven modules, while ensuring the safety and appropriate supervision of students during all laboratory, field, and scenario-based training. The role also involves assisting with classroom preparation, test proctoring, student administration, and coordination of training equipment. Additionally, the instructor will recommend curriculum improvements, participate in course reviews, and maintain compliance with Navy high-risk training safety protocols, instructor conduct standards, testing requirements, and academic policies. Proper maintenance of required documentation, certifications, and training records within the Instructor Training Jacket (ITJ) is also essential. Other duties as assigned.
