About The Position

The Pennsylvania Department of Education, Division of Federal Programs, is seeking a Basic Education Associate who cares about student success and quality learning. This role supports grant work and helps schools, making a difference by managing the Title IV-A grant program. This program supports student enrichment, safety, health, and the effective use of technology. The position involves ensuring resources are used properly, reviewing grant applications, providing training, monitoring compliance, and supporting school district needs.

Requirements

• Four years of professional experience in the field of education
• Any equivalent combination of experience
• A valid and active K-12 teaching certificate
• Must meet the PA residency requirement
• Must be able to perform essential job functions

Responsibilities

• Guide the review of grant applications and ensure they meet federal and state requirements
• Conduct compliance checks, collect data, and evaluate program performance across school districts
• Create and deliver training and technical assistance for educators and program staff
• Support the efficient use of funding and ensure spending aligns with approved guidelines
• Work with school leaders, agencies, and partners to support program goals and student success
• Analyze information and respond to district inquiries to support program improvement
