Baseball Head Coach - Spring 2026-27
About The Position
The Head Coach position is available for the Spring 2026-27 season, contingent upon funding and sufficient sign-ups. Coaches of interscholastic sports at Mt. Hope High School must possess knowledge and skills in their respective sport's techniques. The head coach is responsible for promoting, coordinating, and continuously improving their assigned sport. All coaches report directly to the Athletic Director regarding the content, conduct, and coordination of their programs. Athletics is considered an integral part of the educational process at Mt. Hope High School. Coaches are expected to promote and enhance their interscholastic programs through enthusiasm, ability, and determination, considering areas such as administration, budget, rules and regulations, equipment and uniforms, team travel, scheduling, team management, and certification. At Bristol Warren Regional Athletics, the student-athlete is prioritized as a student first, then an athlete. Applicants for coaching positions should believe in the educational value of athletics and adhere to program rules and regulations. Coaches are expected to exhibit respect, loyalty, character, sportsmanship, and honor both on and off the field. The district seeks coaches who will develop athletes as community citizens and ensure a positive athletic experience for each student-athlete and the high school community. While winning is valued, so are personal growth, teamwork, and preparation for life after school.

- Knowledgeable and skilled in the techniques of their sport.
- Belief in the educational experience athletics provides to students.
- Adherence to the rules and regulations of the program.
- Demonstrate respect, loyalty, character, sportsmanship, and honor both on and off the court and/or field.

Responsibilities
- Promoting, coordinating, and continually improving the interscholastic sport.
- Ensuring the content, conduct, and coordination of the program.
- Promoting and upgrading the interscholastic program through enthusiasm, ability, and determination.
- Considering administration, budget, rules and regulations, equipment and uniforms, team travel, scheduling, team management, and certification.
- Developing each athlete as a citizen of the community.
- Ensuring that each student-athlete’s athletic experience is a positive one.
