Baseball Assistant Coach - Spring 2026-27
About The Position
The Bristol Warren Regional School Department is seeking an Assistant Baseball Coach for the Spring 2026-27 season. This position is dependent upon funding and sufficient sign-ups. Coaches are expected to be knowledgeable and skilled in the techniques of their sport, and to promote, coordinate, and continually improve the interscholastic sport they are assigned. Every coach is directly responsible to the Athletic Director for the content, conduct, and coordination of their program. Athletics is an integral part of the educational process, and coaches are responsible for promoting and upgrading their interscholastic program through enthusiasm, ability, and determination, considering administration, budget, rules and regulations, equipment and uniforms, team travel, scheduling, team management, and certification. At Bristol Warren Regional Athletics, the student-athlete is prioritized as a student first and an athlete second. Applicants must believe in the educational experience athletics provides and adhere to program rules and regulations. Coaches are expected to demonstrate respect, loyalty, character, sportsmanship, and honor, and to develop each athlete as a citizen of the community. The goal is to ensure each student-athlete's experience is positive for both the individual and the school community. While winning is valued, so are personal growth, teamwork, and preparation for life beyond school.
Requirements
- Rhode Island Certificate for Athletic Coach (NFHS Fundamentals of Coaching and Sudden Cardiac Arrest courses) required.
- Current Red Cross certification(s) in CPR and First Aid required.
- Annual recertification for RI Rules and NFHS Concussion course required.

Nice To Haves
- Experience with secondary school level coaching preferred.

- Ensuring that each student-athlete’s athletic experience is a positive one, both for her/him and for the School Community.
