About The Position

The Base Area Attendant will be an essential member of Woodward Park City’s Base Operations team, reporting to the Woodward Park City Base Operations Manager. The successful applicant will be a self-motivated individual who will ensure that our guests can arrive and depart from the resort with ease, guide the experiences we offer and where to go, and provide a clean and smooth daily operation. While every day is different, and our roles may shift based on business needs, here is what you can expect to dive into in this role as a Base Area Attendant:

Requirements

  • Able to work weekends, holidays, and evenings.
  • Ability to work in an outdoor environment in varying weather conditions.
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs. and perform physical tasks (bending, twisting, pushing, pulling).
  • Must pass a background check upon offer acceptance.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with moderate supervision, agile, and able to pivot quickly.
  • Exhibits initiative, responsibility, and accountability.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Successful working in an independent and team environment.
  • Ability to develop strong relationships with diverse groups of people.
  • Overall knowledge of recreation procedures and safety precautions.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in snow removal utilizing tools such as shovels and snowblowers.
  • Experience in parking operations including directing traffic, providing directions and setting up cones.

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine cleaning and sanitation tasks using cleaning equipment and methods to maintain high cleanliness standards throughout the facility.
  • Clean designated outdoor areas (sweeping, mopping, busing tables, etc.).
  • Empty trash cans and pick up litter indoors and outdoors.
  • Carry out heavy cleansing tasks and special projects.
  • Window washing (both small and large).
  • Respond to spills.
  • Be proactive, adjust to fluctuations in guest counts, and work calmly in a fast-paced environment.
  • Support parking operations to ensure efficient vehicle flow and guest safety.
  • Control the flow of incoming and outgoing traffic during peak and non-peak periods.
  • Communicate clearly with guests to provide directions and answer parking-related questions.
  • Direct vehicles to appropriate parking areas based on availability and event needs.
  • Adjust, place, or remove parking signs and barriers as needed to guide traffic and manage space.
  • Coordinate with other team members to respond to changing conditions or special circumstances.
  • Remove snow and ice from walkways, stairs, and decks to maintain safe access for staff and guests.
  • Use shovels to manually clear snow and ice from smaller or hard-to-reach areas.
  • Operate snowblowers to clear larger walkways and open areas efficiently.
  • Apply salt or other de-icing materials using handheld or mechanical spreaders to prevent ice buildup.
  • Ensure equipment is maintained and stored correctly after use.
  • Provide friendly, professional, and responsive customer service to guests, addressing inquiries, concerns, and feedback in a timely and courteous manner.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures while performing tasks, ensuring the safety of yourself, colleagues, and guests.
  • Follow established guidelines and regulations to maintain compliance with health and safety standards.
  • Use proper personal protective equipment.
  • Report incidents and hazardous conditions to leadership.
  • Assist with Base Operations duties as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned.
