About The Position
Southwest Electrical Contracting Services LLC (SWECS) is seeking a motivated and dependable BAS Installer to join its growing Energy Management Control Systems (EMCS) Division. The role installs Building Automation Systems (BAS) and EMCS in commercial and industrial facilities. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience in electrical construction or building automation, a strong commitment to safety, and the ability to work independently and collaboratively. This is a full-time, on-site position in Atlanta, paying $20–$30 per hour.
Requirements
- Meet all SWECS employment eligibility requirements.
- Have a positive attitude and a strong willingness to learn.
- Have reliable transportation.
- Maintain excellent attendance and dependability.
- Maintain the required personal tool inventory.
- Have at least 3 years of experience in BAS installation or the electrical trade.
- Have working knowledge of EMCS systems, electrical installation materials, and wiring methods.
- Be able to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Hold an OSHA 10-Hour Construction Safety Certification.
- Be able to read and interpret MEP plans and specifications, as well as EMCS system submittals and drawings.
Responsibilities
- Install conduit, raceways, control wiring, and EMCS devices.
- Install control panels, sensors, actuators, and other BAS components.
- Read and follow project drawings, specifications, and installation documents.
- Adhere to SWECS safety policies and jobsite requirements.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors, project managers, and team members.
- Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas.
- Complete assigned work within project schedules while maintaining quality standards.
- Troubleshoot installation issues and promptly report concerns.
- Install conduit raceways and control wiring according to project requirements.
- Perform floor-level and mechanical-room-level EMCS system installations.
- Follow engineering drawings, specifications, and installation standards.
