About The Position

Southwest Electrical Contracting Services is seeking a skilled and experienced BAS Installer Lead to lead a team installing and maintaining building automation systems (BAS) for commercial and industrial clients. The lead works with project managers and other team members to complete projects on time, within budget, and to high quality standards. The role includes organizing daily work, training team members, ensuring safety and company standards are followed, troubleshooting technical issues, maintaining project records, and communicating with clients.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 5 years of experience installing and maintaining building automation systems.
• Strong leadership skills and ability to manage a team effectively.
• Extensive knowledge of building automation systems and their components.
• Experience reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds and work in various weather conditions.

Nice To Haves

• Technical training or certification in building automation systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of BAS installers in the installation and maintenance of building automation systems.
• Plan and organize daily tasks, assign duties, and ensure work is completed on time.
• Train and mentor new team members in proper installation techniques and procedures.
• Ensure work complies with safety regulations and company standards.
• Coordinate with project managers and other team members to complete projects on time.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues during installation.
• Keep accurate records of work performed, materials used, and time spent on each project.
• Communicate with clients about project progress and address concerns or questions.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area and properly maintain tools and equipment.
