About The Position

Southwest Electrical Contracting Services is seeking a BAS Installer Lead to lead a team installing and maintaining building automation systems for commercial and industrial clients in the Raleigh, NC area. The lead plans and organizes daily work, assigns duties, trains team members, and helps ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to quality and safety standards. The role involves coordinating with project managers and other team members, troubleshooting installation issues, maintaining accurate project records, communicating with clients, and caring for the work area and equipment.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 5 years of experience installing and maintaining building automation systems.
• Strong leadership skills and ability to manage a team effectively.
• Extensive knowledge of building automation systems and their components.
• Experience reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds and work in various weather conditions.

• Technical training or certification in building automation systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of BAS installers in the installation and maintenance of building automation systems.
• Plan and organize daily tasks, assign duties, and ensure work is completed on time.
• Train and mentor new team members in installation techniques and procedures.
• Ensure work complies with safety regulations and company standards.
• Coordinate with project managers and other team members to complete projects on time.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues during installation.
• Maintain accurate records of work performed, materials used, and time spent on projects.
• Communicate project updates to clients and address their concerns or questions.
• Maintain a clean, organized work area and ensure tools and equipment are properly maintained.
