About The Position

South Beach Group Hotels is hiring a Bartender for Taco Beach Shack at Hollywood. The Bartender provides timely, accurate, and friendly service while preparing high-quality beverages for guests. The ideal candidate is passionate about hospitality. This is a full-time restaurant position with hours and days that vary according to business needs, including weekends, holidays, evenings, and/or overnight shifts. The position has no supervisory responsibilities and reports to the Restaurant Manager/Supervisor.

Requirements

• Proven working experience as a Bartender.
• At least 2 years of bar or restaurant experience.
• At least 1 year of experience in a hotel environment.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Excellent knowledge of mixing, garnishing, and serving drinks.
• Positive attitude and excellent communication skills.
• Ability to keep the bar organized, stocked, and clean.
• Relevant training certificate.
• Must pass the Responsible Service of Alcohol Test with a score of 90% or better.
• Able to walk and stand during the entire shift.
• Able to continuously reach, bend, lift, carry, stoop, and wipe, and remain stationary for long periods.
• Frequent hand washing is required.

Nice To Haves

• Knowledge of Spanish as a second language.

Responsibilities

• Mix, garnish, and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks for bar and dining room patrons according to standard recipes.
• Communicate with guests clearly and enthusiastically, helping them feel appreciated.
• Work with others to keep all areas clean and stocked to company standards.
• Immediately enter drink orders into the computer, collect payment, and provide change.
• Arrange bottles and glasses to maintain an attractive display in accordance with restaurant standards.
• Clean and stock the bar after service so it is ready for the next bartender.
• Keep current bar tabs in front of guests.
• Anticipate guests' needs, follow the half-full rule when offering another drink, and acknowledge guest signals promptly.
• Treat each customer in a personable manner and engage with them within 30 seconds of arrival.
• Serve alcohol responsibly and arrange a taxi when a guest should not drive; request management intervention when necessary.
• Perform other duties assigned by the manager.
