About The Position

South Beach Group Hotels is seeking a Bartender for Taco Beach Shack at Hollywood. The Bartender provides timely, accurate, and friendly service while preparing high-quality beverages for guests. The ideal candidate is passionate about hospitality. This full-time, nonexempt role operates in a restaurant setting; work hours and days vary according to business needs and may include weekends, holidays, evenings, and overnight shifts. The position has no supervisory responsibilities and reports to the Restaurant Manager/Supervisor.

Requirements

Proven working experience as a bartender.
Excellent knowledge of mixing, garnishing, and serving drinks.
Positive attitude and excellent communication skills.
Ability to keep the bar organized, stocked, and clean.
Relevant training certificate.
Must pass the Responsible Service of Alcohol Test with a score of 90% or better.
At least two years of bar or restaurant experience.
At least one year of experience in a hotel environment.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Ability to walk and stand for the entire shift and continuously reach, bend, lift, carry, stoop, and wipe.

Nice To Haves

Knowledge of a second language, such as Spanish.

Responsibilities

Mix, garnish, and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks for bar and dining-room patrons according to standard recipes.
Communicate with guests using clear, enthusiastic words, tone, and body language, and make guests feel appreciated.
Keep work areas clean and stocked to company standards, including cleaning and stocking the bar after service for the next bartender.
Enter drink orders into the computer promptly, collect payment, and provide change.
Arrange bottles and glasses in an attractive display in accordance with restaurant standards.
Keep current bar tabs in front of guests.
Anticipate guest needs, follow the half-full rule when offering another drink, and acknowledge guest signals promptly.
Treat each customer in a personable, friendly manner within 30 seconds of their arrival.
Serve alcohol responsibly; arrange a taxi if a guest should not drive and seek management intervention when necessary.
Perform other duties assigned by the manager.
