About The Position

The Bartender position is responsible for maintaining a friendly, cheerful, and courteous demeanor while providing personalized service to guests. This role involves effective communication with guests and team members, creating and serving beverages, processing transactions, stocking the bar, and maintaining a clean environment. The Bartender will also assist with beverage stocking, closing checks, running reports, and adhering to food safety requirements. Additionally, the role requires providing assistance to other team members and departments to ensure the best overall performance of the department, restaurant, and hotel, delivering DKN’s "Home Away From Home" experience.

Requirements

  • Previous one (1) year experience preferred.
  • Basic state, local and dram shop laws.
  • English speaking or bilingual.
  • Operate cash register.
  • Ability to compute basic mathematical calculations.
  • Ability to prioritize, organize and make good judgments.
  • Dependable.
  • Standing and walking for long periods of time.
  • Repetitive bending, stooping, reaching, twisting, lifting and carrying.
  • Reaching above, at and below shoulder level.
  • Lifting and carrying unassisted up to 30 lbs. of bulk goods.
  • Exposure to cleaning agents.
  • Must be aware of the importance of safety and security.
  • Endeavor to be conscious of safety and security at all times.

  • Friendly and courteous to guests and fellow team members at all times.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain a friendly, cheerful and courteous demeanor at all times, while providing personalized service to guests.
  • Communicate effectively with guests and fellow team members.
  • Cheerfully wait on guests, make recommendations and up sell.
  • Create and serve beverages.
  • Process all cash and charge transactions according to house procedures.
  • Stock side station with garnishments, bar mats, mixers, ice and jiggers.
  • Assist Food and Beverage Manager with stocking beverages and mixes.
  • Stock beverages and mixes for next shift.
  • Close checks and run reports at the end of shift.
  • Maintain clean bar tables, chairs, stools and counter surface at all times.
  • Adhere to food safety requirements.
  • Report any missing/found articles or equipment/property damage to the Housekeeping Supervisor.
  • Provide assistance to other team members and departments to contribute to the best overall performance of the department, restaurant and hotel.
  • Perform other duties as assigned, requested or deemed necessary by management.
  • Deliver DKN’s "Home Away From Home" experience.
