About The Position

Wallkill Golf Club, located in Middletown, NY, is pleased to announce an excellent career opportunity for a Part-Time Bartender! We are seeking a driven individual who is eager to learn, contribute, and grow within a fast-paced hospitality-focused property organization. Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED; and one to three months of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • ServSafe Certified (Food & Alcohol) or TIPS equivalent required.
  • Knowledge of wine, spirits, beer, and current trends in the industry and marketplace.
  • Knowledge of cocktail recipes.
  • Professional and courteous demeanor.
  • Strong commitment to company values.
  • Exceptional personal hygiene and positive representation of the organization to Troon employees, clients, and vendors.
  • Fluent in English speaking, writing, and understanding.
  • Must meet state age requirements for handling alcoholic beverages.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in restaurant point-of-sale systems (e.g. POSITOUCH and MICROS).

Responsibilities

  • Makes and serves guests delicious beverages in accordance with established standards and with hospitality and professionalism.
  • Creates memorable dining experiences through personalized and genuine interactions.
  • Stock bar, mix and serve alcoholic beverages, assist in cost control, inventory, and maintain inventory records.
  • Assist department leaders with creation of seasonal cocktails and development of menu.
  • Assist department leaders with social media schedule and creation of content.
  • Maintain inventory control through conscientious use and careful monitoring of all food and beverage products; communicate with management in a timely manner when supplies are needed.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable state liquor laws and standard operating procedures provided by management.
  • Communicate guest requests and concerns to the Department Manager.
  • Perform opening and closing duties including inventory, cash control, cleaning, and restocking.
  • Accountable for checks and cash transactions; utilize Point of Sale system.
  • Review banquet schedule for changes, calendar of events, and special events.
  • Serve catered parties from service or portable bars.
  • On occasion, serve meals to guests.
  • Incorporate safe work practices in job performance.
  • Regular and reliable attendance.
  • Perform other duties as required.
