The Bartender is responsible for providing friendly, courteous, and efficient quality presentation of food and beverage service to all guests. This role involves cleaning and setting tables in the outlet, performing other food service related duties, including set up and general cleaning. Key responsibilities include preparing alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages for guests and servers, taking beverage and food orders at the bar, describing menu items, and suggesting products to customers. The bartender will also manage bar inventory by restocking, replenishing supplies, providing opening and closing inventory of spirits, and ensuring all liquor, beer, and wine products are safely secured. Additional duties involve assisting with recipe batching, ice molding, liquor infusions, and preparing garnishes. Maintaining the cleanliness and working order of bar equipment such as taps, coolers, blenders, and coffee makers is essential. The position requires verifying customer identification to ensure legal drinking age and preventing service to minors or intoxicated persons. The bartender may also act as a cashier for servers, operate a cash register, handle payments, and maintain the cleanliness of the entire bar area. Professional and courteous assistance to all guests, adhering to high customer service standards, and assisting other staff members are also part of the role.
