About The Position

The Bartender crafts and serves alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages in bar and restaurant settings, providing warm, attentive service and maintaining a clean, organized environment. The role requires product knowledge, responsible alcohol service, and personalized recommendations to support an exceptional guest experience. This is a tipped position, with earning potential based on service quality and guest satisfaction. The hotel operates seven days a week, 24 hours a day. Department schedules accommodate changing business demands, and employees may be asked to work shifts other than those they prefer or normally work. Employees must follow the hotel’s work rules, procedures, and policies.

Requirements

Previous bartending experience.
Ability to stand for long periods.
Good knowledge of liquor and preparation methods.

Responsibilities

Craft cocktails and other drinks for the bar and restaurant.
Serve wine, draft and bottled beer, and food according to hotel standards.
Process drink payments accurately and follow hotel accounting procedures.
Attend to guests promptly and courteously, and guide them in selecting food and beverages.
Promote cocktail hours and special events.
Follow alcohol-awareness procedures to prevent guest intoxication while maintaining professionalism and care.
Prepare drinks and ensure correct pricing.
Assist servers with bar knowledge and expertise.
Clean, sanitize, restock, and store bar items; maintain cleanliness in bar service and guest areas.
Secure money at the end of each shift.
Keep the supervisor informed of significant issues or unusual matters and promptly report maintenance issues.
Serve bar-menu food according to hotel standards.
Ensure alcohol is stored properly.
Requisition alcohol and bar food according to hotel standards.
Follow hotel work rules, procedures, and policies.
