About The Position

As a Wait Staff Non-Tipped employee at Sodexo, you provide efficient and attentive customer service while exceeding guests’ expectations. You serve made-fresh-to-order entrées, appetizers, desserts, and beverages from the restaurant menu, maintaining a professional, friendly, and attentive approach. Responsibilities may vary by account based on business needs and client requirements. The position is on-call and part-time, with varying shifts and days/hours; open availability is preferred. More schedule details will be provided during the interview process.

Requirements

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
• 0 to 1 year of related experience.
• If applicable, meet or exceed the minimum age to serve alcohol under local city and state regulations.
• May require valid TIPS, TEAM, or equivalent alcohol-service certification and compliance with state-specific alcohol training requirements.
• Ability to walk or otherwise remain mobile and to stand for extended periods throughout a shift, which may exceed 8 hours.
• Ability to reach, bend, stoop, push or pull, and frequently lift up to 35 pounds and occasionally lift or move 50 pounds.
• Ability to use hands and arms to finger, handle, feel, or reach.
• Ability to taste and smell.
• Ability to perform repetitive motions.

Responsibilities

• Greet and seat guests, present menus, and introduce specials or menu changes.
• Recommend meals, beverages, and wine, and answer questions about menu items, allergens, and preparation.
• Accurately take and relay orders to the kitchen, confirm orders with guests, and process orders in the correct sequence.
• Check items for quality and completeness, ensuring presentations are attractive, appetizing, and consistent.
• Monitor guest needs, respond to requests, and address concerns or complaints professionally.
• Attend work and report for scheduled shifts on time with satisfactory regularity.
• Perform other duties as assigned, which may vary according to business needs and client requirements.
