About The Position

As the face of our lobby bar, you’ll blend expert craftsmanship with warm hospitality — pouring everything from classic cocktails to premium recommendations with precision and flair. You’ll keep a pulse on inventory, handle cash with integrity, and move seamlessly between independent work and supporting your teammates across outlets. From the first greeting to the last close-out report, you’ll maintain a polished, safe, and welcoming space where guests feel genuinely cared for and the hotel’s standards are upheld effortlessly.

Requirements

  • 1-year previous bartending experience
  • Must have WA state Food Worker Card or the ability to obtain one within 14 days from the date of hire.
  • Must have WA state Mandatory Alcohol Service Training (MAST) permit or the ability to obtain one within 60 days from the date of hire.

Nice To Haves

  • Degree or certificate in mixology preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Being thoroughly knowledgeable in the mixing and portions of all beverages, liquor types and product stocked in the bar.
  • Striving to consistently increase sales through suggestive selling and up selling by offering premium brands and house specials.
  • Demonstrating teamwork by helping other employees when possible and by mixing beverages for other outlets when needed.
  • Performing daily side duties assigned by the supervisor in an efficient and timely manner, along with all scheduled opening and closing duties.
  • Conducting regular and frequent par checks on liquor stock and reporting variances to the manager immediately.
  • Handling all liquor according to standard including requisitions transfers and spillage.
  • Being accountable for all overages and shortages in the cash bank assigned, preparing a cashier's report and making the appropriate drop.
  • Knowledgeable use of proper posting procedures; being responsible for all checks issued by the Accounting Department and for recording the form of payment on the check and all other cash handling reports.
  • Practicing the standards of serving alcohol with care in a consistent and ongoing manner.
  • Perform other duties as requested.
  • Reading, understanding and practicing hotel policies as outlined in the Employee Handbook.
  • Demonstrating proper telephone procedures.
  • Assisting with seating guests efficiently, ensuring proper service.
  • Maintaining a clean work area throughout the shift, ensuring a safe environment for guests and staff.
  • Communicate effectively with managers about needs and concerns.
