About The Position

The Lounge Bartender is responsible for crafting beverages for guests in the lounge and ensuring excellent service throughout their visit. The bartender must be knowledgeable about drink recipes, maintain cleanliness, and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while adhering to all health and safety regulations. Exceptional communication and customer service skills are essential to creating a welcoming atmosphere and enhancing the overall guest experience.

Requirements

  • Previous bartending experience in a lounge, restaurant, or similar setting is required.
  • Extensive knowledge of cocktail recipes, wine, beer, and spirits.
  • Excellent customer service skills and the ability to create rapport with guests.
  • Strong multitasking abilities and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work in a high-energy, fast-paced environment.
  • Must meet the legal age requirement to serve alcohol in the state.
  • Ability to stand for long periods, lift heavy items (up to 25 pounds), and perform physical tasks such as bending, reaching, and carrying trays.
  • Flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays as required.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to standard recipes, including cocktails, wine, beer, and specialty drinks.
  • Maintain comprehensive knowledge of the drink and food menu to provide recommendations and upsell to guests.
  • Engage with guests in a friendly, approachable manner to ensure a positive experience. Respond to guest requests and customize drinks when appropriate.
  • Keep the bar area clean and organized by wiping surfaces, washing glassware, and maintaining stock levels. Ensure compliance with health and safety standards.
  • Monitor and restock bar supplies (liquor, mixers, glassware, garnishes) as needed and communicate inventory needs to management.
  • Process guest payments accurately, including handling cash and credit card transactions, and balancing the register at the end of the shift.
  • Follow all company policies, procedures, and state/federal laws related to the responsible service of alcohol. Verify the legal drinking age of guests.
  • Work closely with lounge servers, barbacks, and management to ensure smooth operations and guest satisfaction.
  • Address and resolve any guest concerns or complaints in a professional manner, escalating issues to management when necessary.
  • Stay current on cocktail trends and techniques, and participate in company-provided training as required.
