About The Position

The Bartender is responsible for providing excellent guest service and for preparing and serving a variety of different beverages. Hunter is Concorde Group’s newest venture—an exciting opportunity for those eager to build new relationships and be part of opening a brand-new restaurant. If you thrive in dynamic environments and want to help shape something from the ground up, this role is for you.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of drink recipes, spirits, beer, and wine
  • Knowledge of dining room and service procedures and functions
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills with ability to establish and develop relationships with team members, partners, and customers.
  • Basic math skills, ability to handle money and operate a point-of-sale system.
  • Ability to multitask and stay calm under pressure
  • Must be able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs
  • Must be over 18 as alcohol service and open scheduling availability is a requirement
  • Valid Liquor Service Certification, can be obtained within 30 days of starting.

Nice To Haves

  • Minimum of one year bartending experience in a comparable environment is preferred

Responsibilities

  • Greet guests in a friendly and engaging manner.
  • Take accurate drink and food orders and deliver them promptly. Assist with table service as required.
  • Create, mix, pour, garnish, and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages for the bar and restaurant guests.
  • Consistently execute drink production principles and practices, ensuring that all recipes and practices are followed.
  • Upsell and promote daily specials and featured cocktails.
  • Check identification to ensure guests meet legal drinking age requirements.
  • Provide the highest level of customer service to all guests, while maintaining a personable and professional image.
  • Adapt service and communication approach to varying needs and preferences of guests and coworkers.
  • Ensure all services and orders delivered within the bar operation are charged for correctly.
  • Maintain effective cost and portion controls to meet profit goals.
  • Follow restaurant standards for drink timing.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and fully stocked bar, ensuring to follow the restaurant’s preventative maintenance program.
  • Assist in inventory management by placing product orders and ensure fresh product through a detailed and updated order guide.
  • Process payments accurately using POS systems.
  • Follow all health, safety, and sanitation guidelines.
  • Handle customer concerns or complaints with professionalism and care.
  • Assist the workload of others.
  • Execute ad-hoc administrative and operational duties are required.
