About The Position

The Bartender is the anchor of Topgolf’s bar experience, preparing and serving drinks with speed, precision, and consistency while providing warm, attentive hospitality. The role involves managing bar operations, keeping the area clean and stocked, responsibly serving alcohol, and helping create a memorable guest experience. It requires knowledge of spirits and mixology, sound judgment, and the ability to work a flexible schedule that includes evenings, weekends, holidays, peak periods, special events, and high-volume seasons.

Requirements

• Completion of mixology, barkeeping, or other related training.
• Extensive knowledge of drink preparation, spirits, and responsible alcohol service.
• Ability to obtain alcohol service licenses and certifications required for the location.
• Ability to learn and operate a cash register or point-of-sale software.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 18 years of age, as required by state or local law.
• Ability to stand, walk, and move around the bar and venue for extended periods.
• Ability to lift, carry, and move items weighing up to 50 pounds independently.
• Ability to perform repetitive hand and wrist motions, including shaking, pouring, and handling bar equipment.
• Ability to work quickly and accurately under pressure in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
• Ability to work in varying temperatures, including near refrigeration equipment and in outdoor or partially outdoor spaces.
• Ability to communicate clearly in a high-energy venue with moderate to high background noise.
• Availability for a flexible schedule that includes evenings, weekends, holidays, peak periods, special events, and high-volume seasons.

• At least one year of bartending or hospitality experience.

Responsibilities

• Receive drink orders from guests and waitstaff and prepare them accurately, quickly, and to Topgolf’s service standards.
• Prepare and serve liquor, mixed drinks, wine, beer, and nonalcoholic beverages.
• Complete fruit garnishes and bar preparation before opening.
• Upsell premium spirits, cocktails, and experiences.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and attractively presented bar, with glasses, bottles, and supplies in their proper places.
• Check valid photo identification to verify every guest’s legal drinking age before serving alcohol.
• Collect payments accurately, handle cash carefully, and follow responsible alcohol service rules.
• Refuse service to patrons who are intoxicated or disruptive.
• Monitor bar inventory and submit orders or requisition forms for liquor, beer, and supplies before stock runs low.
• Keep bar snacks stocked and the bar surface clean and guest-ready throughout the shift.
• Communicate with kitchen and service teams to coordinate food and drink delivery.
• Report safety concerns, guest issues, or equipment problems to management promptly.
