About The Position

As a Bartender at AMC, you will provide welcoming, attentive service and prepare and serve beverages that enhance guests’ movie experiences. AMC provides training in bartending basics. The role involves working in a fast-paced theatre environment, collaborating with a team, and helping create an inclusive atmosphere where guests feel welcomed, valued, and respected. Bartenders must follow company policies and procedures, applicable laws and guidelines for alcohol service, safe-use instructions for cleaning materials, and AMC wardrobe standards.

Requirements

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Evening, weekend, and occasional holiday availability is required.
• Reliability and punctuality.
• Willingness to complete required training and certifications provided by AMC.
• Friendly, outgoing personality.
• Strong guest service, communication, leadership, and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Standing, walking, lifting, twisting, and bending frequently.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and carry it up to 90 feet, or deposit it into a dumpster or trash compactor.

Nice To Haves

• Bartending experience is appreciated but not required.
• A love for movies and a passion for creating a great experience for every guest.

Responsibilities

• Welcome guests and serve beverages.
• Complete AMC-provided training in mixing drinks and pouring portions.
• Suggest featured and premium beverages to guests.
• Check identification and serve alcohol only to guests who are at least 21, following applicable laws and guidelines.
• Keep the bar clean and stocked.
• Open the bar at the start of the day and close it at night.
• Follow instructions for the safe use of chemicals and cleaning materials.
• Work with and support fellow bartenders and the wider team.
• Help create an inclusive environment where everyone feels welcomed, valued, and respected.
• Follow AMC Wardrobe 101 Standards, including black non-slip shoes, black pants, an AMC-provided shirt where applicable, and items required by local regulations.
• Maintain a professional and positive demeanor.
• Adhere to AMC Company Policies and Procedures.
