Bartender (Stable Hall at Pearl)
About The Position
Stable Hall is a leading live music venue located at the Pearl in San Antonio. Our venue offers an exciting, fast-paced environment with a new show, crowd, floor layout, and food and beverage for each shift. We are looking for adaptable, energetic bartenders with a passion for excellent service and strong knowledge of classic cocktails to join our team. As a bartender at Stable Hall, you’ll deliver high-quality drinks and efficient service in a full bar setting. You’ll need to adapt to varying bar setups and customer demands, as each event brings new challenges. Bartenders are expected to pick up their own shifts and are responsible for arranging coverage when necessary. Speed of service, knowledge of classic cocktails, and the ability to learn up to two new cocktails per shift (or adapt to changes in cocktail names for events) are critical to success. We operate within a tip pool system that promotes teamwork. This is not a training bar, so you must be fully trained in craft cocktails and speed, able to hit the floor running.
Requirements
- Prior bartending experience required, with knowledge of classic cocktails
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment
- Strong communication skills and a team-oriented mindset
- Must be 21+ and TABC certified (or willing to obtain before starting)
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs
- Availability for evenings, weekends, and holidays, particularly during events
Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve beverages, including classic cocktails, adhering to venue standards
- Provide fast and friendly service, especially during high-volume events
- Follow TABC laws and regulations for alcohol service
- Collaborate with the bar team in a tip pool system
- Learn and prepare up to two new cocktails per shift or adapt to menu changes
- Keep the bar area clean, organized, and fully stocked
- Handle cash and card transactions efficiently
- Independently manage your schedule by picking up shifts and ensuring coverage if needed
- Adapt to new bar layouts, crowds, and event-specific demands each shift
