About The Position

Café Boulud, located in the heart of Toronto's historic Yorkville neighbourhood within the Four Seasons Hotel, is seeking a talented and dynamic Part-Time Bartender. This role is essential to the Café Boulud team, dedicated to providing exceptional quality and service to guests. The Bartender will ensure guests are greeted promptly, courteously, and graciously, offering quick and efficient beverage service while adhering to provincial and city alcohol laws and Café Boulud's standards. A complete working knowledge of all bar products is required, ensuring every guest receives the highest quality of service.

Requirements

• Excellent personal presentation and interpersonal skills.
• Strong beverage knowledge regarding beer, wine and liquor is required.
• Must be of legal age to serve alcohol.
• Confident, outgoing personality and a can-do approach to any request.
• Continuous standing for the majority of the shift.
• Ability to lift up to 50lbs.
• Flexible schedule with the ability to work all shifts, weekends and holidays.
• Smart Serve certification is a must.
• Must possess legal work authorization in Canada.
• Work permit sponsorship is not available.

Nice To Haves

• At least 1 year of previous bartending experience, ideally in a fine dining or luxury environment.
• Exceptional communication skills, command of English language and personal confidence.
• Additional language a definite asset for career growth.

Responsibilities

• Assure each guest is greeted promptly, courteously, graciously with eye contact and a smile.
• Provide guests and servers with quick and efficient beverage service, following the provincial and city alcohol law while adhering to Café Boulud's standards of service.
• Maintain a complete working knowledge of all products served by the bar.
• Ensure that all the details of service are performed properly and that every guest receives the highest quality of service.
• Perform additional side duties and assist in the absence of a bar porter or bar server if necessary.
