This position is responsible for directly serving and interacting with customers and exudes a genuine enjoyment of people. The Bartender provides friendly and efficient food and beverage service to guests, communicates concerns to management, and uses enthusiastic salesmanship to answer questions and make recommendations about beers and other items. They fill drink orders, anticipate customer needs, ensure guest satisfaction, and accurately use the Toast POS system. This role also involves communicating with management to ensure taproom beer inventory is stocked and accounted for, checking customer identification for alcohol purchases, and adhering to liquor laws and responsible consumption plans. The Bartender demonstrates leadership and teamwork, stocks and manages beverage garnishes, collects payment, and operates the cash register accurately. They maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar, wash glassware and utensils, maintain an adequate supply of bar necessities, and aesthetically arrange products. Inventory management of draft systems, beer, liquor, and other bar supplies is also a responsibility. The role requires keeping the bar area clean and presentable, observing safety and security procedures, following company policies, and adhering to safe food handling practices. Additionally, they provide timely food service and maintain retail and packaged beer areas, ensuring adherence to sanitary and safe food handling mandates.
