About The Position

The Four Seasons Resort Lāna’i is looking for a Bartender who shares a passion for excellence and who infuses enthusiasm into everything they do. Our teams have the opportunity to shape our guest experience by providing exceptional knowledge of the Resort and exemplifying the Golden Rule in each interaction. Work authorization is required.

Requirements

• Successful candidate must possess legal work authorization in United States
• Required by the Hawaii State Department of Health to obtain a Tuberculous (TB) clearance card
• Ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 50 lbs, and push/pull as needed during shifts.
• Ability to accurately read and work with computer systems.
• Strong Customer Service skills

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve drinks with consistency, accuracy, and personalized artistry.
• Provide warm, professional, and anticipatory service to bar guests and support service staff with bar beverages for the dining room guests.
• Recognize frequent guests and personalize service based on their preferences.
• Maintain a comprehensive knowledge of the bar menu, any seasonal offerings, the extensive wine list, and pairing recommendations.
• Uphold fine dining standards of cleanliness, organization, and presentation at the bar at all times.
• Engage guests with refined personalized conversation, menu guidance, and education about cocktails, wine, and spirits.
• Manage the inventory levels of bar ingredients and supplies; assist with counting, ordering and restocking as needed.
• Follow proper cash handling, check procedures, PCI guidelines, and adhere to all responsible alcohol service guidelines.
• Work seamlessly with kitchen, sommeliers, servers, and management to ensure a fluid guest experience.
• Maintain mise en place and readiness for service, including prepping garnishes, glassware, syrups, and all tools.
• Assist in the creation of seasonal cocktail menus and contribute ideas for beverage pairings.
