About The Position

Apex Entertainment is hiring a Bartender for its Marlborough location. The role involves preparing and serving beverages in a high-energy environment while providing welcoming, knowledgeable service to guests. Bartenders maintain a clean, stocked bar, complete opening and closing tasks, follow health and safety standards, and support service during regular operations and special events. The position requires flexible availability, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Requirements

Must be at least 18 years old.
At least 2 years of bartending experience in a high-volume bar or restaurant.
TIPS certification or willingness to obtain it.
Solid cash-handling experience.
Ability to lift up to 40 pounds and stand for long periods.
Availability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
Ability to multitask and remain calm under pressure.

Responsibilities

Mix and serve cocktails, beer, and other beverages quickly, accurately, and according to established recipes.
Recommend drinks, spirits, and pairings, and share knowledge of the menu and beverage offerings.
Check guest identification and monitor alcohol consumption to ensure responsible alcohol service.
Create a welcoming atmosphere, respond professionally to guest inquiries, and engage with patrons to make their visits memorable.
Keep the bar clean, organized, and stocked; perform opening and closing duties, restocking, and inventory checks.
Follow health and safety standards.
Assist with other tasks as needed, including answering phones and helping servers.
Stay aware of guest needs throughout the facility and assist with special events, private parties, and corporate gatherings as needed.
Follow management-assigned tasks to support the team.
Communicate clearly with staff and leadership, maintain a positive attitude, and support teammates to ensure smooth service.
