About The Position

Zunzibar is seeking hardworking, knowledgeable, attentive, and personable bartenders who can create high-quality beverages consistently while providing attentive, high-level customer service and hospitality. Bartenders train with the bar team to learn Zunzibar’s drink list, keep the workplace clean, and tend to customers’ needs in a timely manner. They should know the food and beverage menu well enough to make recommendations and help customers enjoy their experience. Successful candidates are friendly, eager, and passionate about their work and helping customers have a “SHT YEAH!” experience.

Requirements

• eTips on Premise Certification or equivalent, as required by local regulation.
• Comply with local, state, and federal liquor laws.
• A friendly attitude and attentiveness.
• Knowledge of alcoholic beverages, including cocktails, beer, and wine.
• Meet the minimum age requirement of 18 to serve alcohol.
• Ability to provide excellent customer service and high-quality service.
• Availability to work peak hours, including weekends, holidays, and evenings.
• Ability to carry heavy trays, walk, stand, and perform job duties.

Nice To Haves

• Experience serving beverages in a fine-dining or restaurant establishment is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customers with a pleasant drinking experience.
• Serve drinks while maintaining a clean and sanitary bar area.
• Attend to the detail and presentation of each order.
• Prepare and maintain ingredients according to recipes.
• Follow proper alcohol-handling, sanitation, and safety procedures.
• Maintain appropriate dating, labeling, and rotation of beverage items.
• Complete cleaning according to daily and weekly schedules.
• Listen to customer complaints and suggestions and resolve complaints.
• Check customers’ IDs to verify they meet the legal age requirement before serving alcoholic beverages.
• Comply with food and beverage safety regulations.
• Learn Zunzibar’s drink list through training with the bar team.
• Know the food and beverage menu and make recommendations to customers.
