The Bartender promotes the image of the restaurant by displaying impeccable manners, diplomacy, and tact towards guests. They maintain a constant flow of communication with and to the team, mix and prepare alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks, take orders, serve food and drinks to guests, prepare and present checks, and accept payments. The role also involves cashier audits, closing off bills correctly in Micros, and depositing cashier envelopes to the Front Desk drop safe. Bartenders ensure licensing hours and State Liquor Laws are strictly followed, check and set up the bar and equipment, place bottles in proper place, and prepare mis en place for the shift. They check stock levels of bar supplies and initiate necessary requisitions, ensuring the bar is clean and in good condition at all times. The Bartender continually up-sells at all opportunities, communicates politely and displays courtesy to guests, and informs their manager of any difficulties, guest comments, or other relevant information. They follow proper key handling procedures, maintain all standards for Bar operations, and perform duties noted on the daily tasks & cleaning schedule. Additionally, they are responsible for complying with all workplace health and safety requirements, attending and participating in daily briefings and training sessions, and implementing hotel and department regulations, policies, and procedures. Other duties, tasks, and special projects as assigned will also be performed.
