About The Position

The Bartender is generally responsible for creating memorable guest experiences while performing all duties to maximize guest satisfaction and a quality work environment. It is also the responsibility of the Bartender to efficiently handle any function of the restaurant of Banquets Function from greeting the guests, to serving food and beverage items.

Requirements

  • Must be of legal age to serve alcohol
  • Relevant training certificate as per province of employment to be obtained in first week of work.
  • Must be able to lift 20 lbs and stand for an 8 hour shift
  • High school diploma / GED required
  • Must be able to work under heavy pressure/stress during busy times.
  • Must be able to work independently and maintain a positive attitude within a very busy environment ~ hours will fluctuate and evening, weekend and holiday work is required

Nice To Haves

  • 2+ years experience working as a bartender an asset

Responsibilities

  • Provide friendly and efficient food and beverage service.
  • Serve items to guests in a prompt and courteous manner, according to established service standards.
  • Control all liquor per company standards (pouring, restaurant, room service, par stocks, and requisitions).
  • Prepare drinks with proper recipes, glassware and garnish.
  • Ensure station is stocked for shift, maintain work areas in a clean and safe condition at all times.
  • Adhere to all cleaning and side duty schedules, ensuring all duties are completed as assigned.
  • Knowledge of all menus and promote food and beverage items to guests when required.
  • Handle cash and credit transactions as per company standard.
  • Open/close the bar according to standard (cleanliness, properly stocked, organized).
