About The Position

Lucky's Iron Door Roadhouse is looking for an experienced, knowledgeable, and genuinely hospitable bartender to join our team. We're not looking for someone who simply knows how to make drinks. We're looking for someone who understands the room. Someone who can handle volume without sacrificing hospitality. Someone who knows when a guest wants a recommendation, when they want a conversation, and when they simply want another beer. Someone who takes pride in a beautifully built cocktail, a clean bar, a well-stocked station, and a guest who leaves happier than when they arrived. If you're an experienced bartender who is smart, driven, responsible, and takes your profession seriously without taking yourself too seriously, we'd like to meet you. This position offers a competitive hourly wage plus tips, with schedules of up to 40 hours per week. Applicants must be 21 years of age or older and have a minimum of five years of bartending experience with professional references. Lucky's Iron Door Roadhouse opened in Jordan Landing in 2019 as the second home of the award-winning burgers that began with Lucky 13 in Salt Lake City. We serve brunch, lunch, dinner, handcrafted cocktails, beer, and the burgers our guests have come to know us for. We're proud of what comes out of our kitchen and what goes into every glass. But food and drinks are only part of hospitality. People come back because of how they felt while they were here. Our bartenders have an enormous influence over that experience. You're not simply responsible for what's happening behind your bar. You're responsible for the people sitting on the other side of it.

Requirements

Must be 21 years of age or older.
Minimum of five years of professional bartending experience.
Professional references.
Strong working knowledge of cocktails, beer, wine, and spirits.
Experience working in a fast-paced, high-volume bar or restaurant.
Strong communication skills.
Friendly, confident, and approachable demeanor.
Dependability and personal accountability.
Ability to remain composed under pressure.
Attention to cleanliness, organization, and detail.
Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
Willingness to learn and accept coaching regardless of experience level.
Flexible availability, including nights, weekends, and Sundays.

Responsibilities

Provide genuine, attentive hospitality to every guest.
Prepare cocktails accurately, efficiently, and consistently according to house recipes and standards.
Serve beer, wine, and spirits responsibly and knowledgeably.
Learn our food menu and confidently make recommendations.
Maintain a clean, organized, stocked, and professional bar throughout your shift.
Anticipate guest needs rather than waiting to be asked.
Manage high-volume service while maintaining accuracy and composure.
Communicate effectively with bartenders, barbacks, servers, kitchen staff, hosts, and managers.
Support the people working around you when they need help.
Follow all alcohol-service laws, identification requirements, and company policies.
Help turn first-time guests into regulars.
